Riding a mini horse

How do I know how much is too much weigh of a rider on my mini horse?

The rule of thumb for normal horses is 20% of their body weight.  I think that would be a safe rule to apply to minis as well.  I have no idea how big your horse is but if it weighs 150 lbs., for example, then no more than 30 lbs.  Remember, this includes the weight of the tack, not just the rider.
