Question
hello, can i train my horses to jump barefooted on deep sand? would you suggest me to train barefooted for jumping thoroughbreds? or the hoof cracks if horses jump over high fences barefooted?

Answer
HELLO ROHIT...THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION...

Hoof cracks WILL NOT occur unless the balance of the hooves are incorrect or in question.

Working ANY horse barefooted is not a problem, unless you have soreness, lameness of the
lower limbs and such. Shoeing is for "CORRECTION OR PROTECTION" as I have said many
times before.

When you say "deep sand" be carefull of extra strain on the lower limbs !! Leg wraps will always aid in soft tissue support while being worked.

Best to You...
