back pain - wedge pad

hello sir. may i know why to use wedge pads on horses that have back pain? my local farrier suggested me to shoe one of our horses that was suffering from back pain.

HELLO CAINE...

I personally would NOT use a wedge for back pain.
Because a horse is actually "suspended" from above, the (4) limbs hanging under the structure,
Changing "angles" from the hoof and lower limbs will do little to help the back !!
IF the horse has ANY discomfort in it"s spine/lumbar... a veterinarian or/and a chiropractor
should access the pain/inflammation !!
