Farrier

Question
Hello I just have a quick question. My farrier has been very good with us, I have no complaints. The only thing is that he got all mad and told us that he no longer wanted our business. This happend because I asked him to come every 4-6 weeks and he will only come every 8-10 weeks. We have 5 big show horses and 3 mini horses. I told him we have a very bad situation with a horse's foot and we really need him now. He told me I would have to wait 3 weeks I told him I can not wait that long and would pay extra and fuel he still said no. I then called a local guy. Somehow my guy found out and is now dropping us. Is that something a good farrier would do? I really needed this horse done before he became even worse it was a health concern not that I was replacing him. I even explained this to him and it was my VET that told me the horse needed done ASAP. What do you think?

Answer
Good Morning Sony ... well, while I would consider my clients' requests and work with them according to their needs and schedules not every professional does the same in the same manner.

I would scout around, perhaps, and find a trimmer or farrier with whom you would be comfortable with both the work and the relationship.

I wish you luck. :)
