horses having twins

if a tb horse has twins will they both live.or if one does die what are the chances the other will die thanks

Hi Terri,
             Live twins in any breed or horse are very rare. They happen in one in 10,000 births. If you are lucky, one twin will survive at birth. There is a 60/40 chance thatone foal will survive if the other dies. Much depends on the size of the foal and if it got what it needed in utero.
