Question
Hello. I bought two red eared sliders at petco and they are about 1 year old since i bought them. One of them was in a fight and lost part of his tail. Today i went to feed them and i seen the girl which is much bigger then the boy bit his tail that is almost gone. what should i do. Also i bought them both same time and they were same size but one is much larger than the other. I'd say about 2 inch bigger wide and long. how big of a tank should i also get for two of them. like width long and height and gallon size. right now they are 30 long 19 high and 12 wide. (INCHES) If its too small can you find me a site with cheap tanks. i can only find expencive ones.

Answer
You need to bring the injured turtle to the vet to have him fixed up.

As for tank size, you need 200 gallons of water for them when fully grown, so I would suggest getting a stock tank from Tractor Supply Company and place it outside. Otherwise, you are not going to find a cheap tank anywhere because aquariums are, unfortunately, very expensive.

Another option would be a large, preformed pond from home depot/lowes.
