Does my turtle shell supposed to look like this or is it normal?

I have had this turtle for about two or three years and I just noticed the white little spots.
I was wondering if the shell is supposed to look like this.

Hi Nikita,

I can't really answer your question without a picture.  The spots could be any number of things from current fungus to healed shell rot.  If you can post back with a very clear picture of the shell, I can give you a better answer.  More specific information--species of turtle, exactly how you have it set up, etc.--would also be helpful.  Shell problems are typically related to environmental issues, such as a too-small tank, poor filtration, etc.
