Very sick Gibba, many vet visits, and still wont eat!

Question
A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I received a very sick Gibba Side Neck turtle (though at the time, we we're aware of her condition). She's had shell rot for a very long time, very deep wounds on the top and bottom shell. We rushed her to an exotic vet, did tons of research, and have had many check ups since then. The vet told us to "dry tank", soaking either an hour a day or twice a day for a half hour each. She's had a calcium shot, an antibiotic, and now a sort of paste that we're supposed to force feed her.
However, this is the major problem. When we try to force feed her, it really seems like it hurts her, and she doesn't want to swallow it (and we do very little bits, not a whole mouthful).
We've tried all of her favorite foods; fish, worms, gourmet mixtures, numerous treats.
Do you have any tips or suggestions? We're really quite concerned.
Thank you for your time,
Kate

Answer
Im sorry it took so long to respond, I just got your question.,1st thank you for taking him to a vet we see alot of people who would rather drop it off an forget it (we do rescue)
You are going to have to do as the vet said or go to another vet for another opinion.
Shell rot at that extreme is hard to get corrected and it is hard on you but think how hard it is and has been on him.
Does he have a favorite food that is nto a normal staple food, kind of like an ice cream to him? Id try that
