What age can a painted turtle get pregnant?

At what age can a painted turtle get pregnant?  A year old?

Answer
Age at which a female can become gravid depends on size, not age.  A painted female would need to be roughly 5" in length.  A one year old female would be too small to produce eggs unless she had grown much too quickly, in which case she would likely be seriously deformed.  At that age, they can't even be sexed accurately (they'll all look female).
