Turtles or Tortoises?

Hi I'm looking to buy a tortoise or turtle i have done all the research needed and would prefer to keep a small one indoors. The only problem is i can't decide whether i want a Russian tortoise, three-toed box turtle, or ornate box turtle. Which one is most active in the daytime? Thanks for the help.

Ornates are considered difficult to raise, and Russians really do not do well indoors in the long run. 'Active in the daytime' really does not apply much- all tortoises are daytime active, but most hide or sleep when they are not eating.
