sugar gliders & dogs

Question
We were told that if a dog licks a sugar glider that it will kill it. Is this true. We have 2 new glider babies and a small Yorkie . Is there anything we need to know to protect them?

I really don't know about dogs licking Sugar Gliders.  I would think that a dog's saliva contains lots of germs, so it really isn't a good idea.  In fact, gliders are so small, that I would be extremely careful about having the dog near them at all.
