Questionmy sugar glider somehow hurt its toes and we suspect it chewed off the toes and foot it's self, we live in montana and have no veternary listings.
WE NEED HELP!!!!!
AnswerDear Natasha:
I am very sorry to hear about your glider. I have had a glider tht self mutilated and it was very difficult. One of the ways gliders injure their toes is because their nails get caught. Make sure all nails are clipped so they can get caught.
Without a vet's attention, this will be much more difficult. I have provided some links you can follow for self mutilators. You will likely need to create an e-collar for him to keep him from further chewing:

I would try to find a vet that will provide some pain medication. Perhaps you can get a dog vet to call an exotics vet in another state to get dosages for you.
Other than that, push fluids and use Neosporin on the affected area.
I hope this helps.
