Question
hey i just purchased a hatchling from a specialist last week, it seems very healthy but it isn't very active unless i take its hide out to change the paper also is it ok to have a plastic habitank in the middle of my big vivarium with the temperatures in there set to 85 warm end and 70 cool? also is it ok to handle him he is very jumpy along with me because i don't want to hurt the little guy he is ok when i have him just seems very scared no matter how slow i go, iv left him a few days to settle some more but he never seems to come out of his hide he has ate a pinkie just 1 day after i bought him and that was 3 days ago, should i be handling him to build up trust or leave him a little while longer? thanks for your time :)

Answer
Hi there, not sure what a habitank is, can you explain? Your temperatures sound good. How many hides does he have and what size is the tank? I would maybe give him a few more days as hes probably stressed after the move. Some corn hatchlings spend all their time hiding as this is what they would do in the wild!
