Question
Hi, I just recently noticed that my RTB has a weird lump on it. It's located a little bit towards the back of the snake a little bit above the vent. When I went to see what it was, I was feeling up on it, and noticed it felt like theres air in there? It seems as if there is bloated extra skin? I dont know what I would call it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Answer
Hello Kevin,

Sorry about the wait for my response.

You should bring him/her to the vet. They can remove the puss that is built up in this lump and will be able to give your snake some antibiotics to help with the healing of it. As far as what it is, can't really say.

You might consider checking around the cage for any signs of mites or even bed bugs. If you do find there is some sort of parasite in the cage then you need to do a thorough cleaning of it.

Hope this helps,
