QuestionI'm a school teacher with 40 species of reptiles in my classroom. I've successfully bred 8 species of lizards and snakes this year. I'm concerned about my two female kenyan sand boas. They both produced babies in July. They are eating well and behaving normally. I recently noticed that one of my female's has an abnormally clear black eye while her other eye is a normal orange with black pupil. The other female has two clear black eyes which appear slightly sunken? I recently had found my male dead in the females' tank. Should I be concerned?
AnswerI believe so, but what the problem is...??? I once had a burmese python with cataracts does it looks anything like that? And then assuming something is wrong-where do you find a vet who is versed in reptile eye disorders! Since they are eating well whatever it is doesn't seem to bother them that much, but perhaps a few phone calls to a vet might ease your mid. SOrry I can't help more.
