Question
my 5 year old king[female]. my enclosure has been set up with all the nessary things. 92 deg.to65deg.has 30-50% humidity. 12 on and 12 off on the lights. this has been working great all the time. she has been eating her favorite food, mice.full grown. she has not eaten for 5 months. she looks in great shape.eyes are clear, she shed a month ago.i'm thinking of a appetite stimulant. but otherwise at a loss. thank you paul.

Answer
Hey Paul,

A couple things to answer for yourself. What is the weather outside like? Is the moisture level up from a couple months ago?

She is around the breeding season. There is a good chance she may not eat for a few more months. This is not going to harm her. They tend to fast when in the breeding season and can do so for a period of up to a year. As long as she is not dramatically losing weight and looking sickly thin, don't worry. What I will suggest is that you continue to offer her food on her regular days.

Hope this helps,
