Question
when i go up today my Yellow Throat Plated Lizard was alive and when i came in side from doing something he was not moving i picked him up thought he was died then he opened one of his eyes i was wondering if he hibernates or if hes hibernating

Answer
Reptiles do not hibernate--they brumate.  They slow down, but remain awake.
They do this only when conditions are too cold, or (for some species) too dry and hot (such as in the desert).

Your lizard should not be brumating if you are caring for him at all properly.  It sounds more likely that he is very ill, and you should take him to a veterinarian immediately.  Reptiles do not usually show illness until they are extremely ill.

Check plated lizard care sheets and make sure that your husbandry is correct.  Do not delay vet attention.
