ANSWER: Hello Danielle,

What type of setup do you have for your gecko?  Do you have an undertank heater for him that is on 24/7?  Do you use a basking light for him as well?
Do you have any pictures of him?
Since he is not eating right now, try getting some turkey, chicken or beef baby food & use a plastic syringe or plastic dropper to feed him from.  Drop the food onto the end of his nose, to try & get him to lick the food off of his nose.
So, how old is, do you think?
Does he has a moist humid hide in his tank on the warm side?
Let me know how Rex is doing.

QUESTION: he is 12 years old or more
he was a mat and sand and a heating lamp
i dont hva epics
i keep iwht as humid as i can
iv been shoving food in his mouth to make him eat

ANSWER: Hello Danielle,

How is Rex doing today?
At 12 years of age, he is getting old.  The best thing you can do is to keep him comfortable, & warm to ensure he digests his food properly.
Good, the heat mat & basking light are fine.  Do you know what the temperatures are in his tank?
Continue with the baby food feedings, so he can keep his strength up.
If you can afford to, taking him to the vet might yield some answers as well, if they can get a fecal done on him.  He could have worms or parasites that are affecting his health.
Has he ever been impacted?  The sand has been known to cause severe impactions in geckos.  Maybe try switching that out to a non adhesive shelf liner, or paper towels for now.

Answer
Hello Danielle,

How is Rex doing today?  Well, the average life span for a leopard gecko is around 20 years.  So, technically barring a medical condition, etc, he should be able to live longer.
No, leopard geckos do not do do well on low temperatures all of the time.  They do need warm spots.
I am concerned about the spiders as well.  It is possible that he could have either been bitten by one or ingested one that has made him ill.
If you would like to send me some pictures to my email, that is fine.  You can send them to:
Drache_613@hotmail.com

Is there another place that you could move the tank to so the tank doesn't accumulate spiders like this?
