Question
my husband and i have recently gotten a bearded dragon, it is not our first one yet this little guy will not eat his crickets and will not touch very much produce (mabey a few pieces every day) someone recommended feeding worms in place of crickets. I am however having a hard time finding a feeding guide on worms for bearded dragons. About how many a day should they be given? he is still in the 6-8 inch range and growing. Thank you so much for your time :)

Answer
Hello Denise,

How long have you had your new dragon?
They do have a relocation stress phase of around 1-2 weeks in some cases.
He is still very young so he does need his protein.  Eventually he will start eating his greens & veggies.
You can get some phoenix worms or otherwise known as reptiworms to feed.  I do not recommend the mealworms because they are too fatty & have a harder outer shell which can contribute to impactions.
The amount is hard to determine, but usually the little ones can eat upwards of 50+ feeders, daily, that are appropriately sized.  You still may need to supplement with crickets, as well.
