Question
Hi' diane This is roger i just want to ask you another question I want to buy me an adult blazing blizzard leopard gecko cb size 6-7" male but there is only one thing I am confuss about is the crickets to feed him they sell crickets.5" size 1/2 and crickets.25" size 1/4 which crickets do I buy him to feed is it.5" size 1/2 or.25 size 1/4.

Answer
Hi Roger,
The rule for feeding is the prey can't be any longer than the leos head nor wider than the space between their eyes.
http://www.nyworms.com/cricketchart.htm  a visual as to their size may help you out.
Generally, if you are buying the crickets in bulk, I always buy the smaller ones as that the crickets grow pretty fast...depending on the amt I am buying... the more crix in the order, the smaller the size that I order.(generally the 3/8 or 1/2 inch when its a 500 cricket order)
If you are buying a small amount from a pet store when needed, then the .5"( one half inch) would be the fine for an adult leo, provided the cricket matches the "rule" on size of prey to feed. Most adults  and sub adults can handle the 3/4"  Some also sell the crickets by age...   a two wk old cricket is approx 1/4 inch....a 3/4 inch cricket is 3 wks or older.

Hope this helps you out!!
