Question
QUESTION: Hi i ask this because this is my first time with geckos but not my first with reptiles at all. Now i have had my three geckos for almost a week a it was handling day i got lola out of the tank and she leapt out of my hand and fell to the floor i carefully picked her up and put her on my bed and she didn't move so i immediately put her back in the tank with her family but she just layed there as if she was paralyzed so i sat there and watched her and she couldn't move her legs of herself. So i gently tapped her and she started dragging herself and after about 3 minutes she started walking but not properly. Now from my experience i think she could of possibly when hitting the floor went into a short spam of parylanazia and shock therefore couldn't move. should i leave her for a couple of days and then if her behavior is still funny take her to the vets? i wanted to ask yourself as you are a professional and would like a second opinion.

Many thanks

Lewis and lola (the gecko)

ANSWER: In my experience, it is better to be safe than sorry. What do you mean by not walking properly? As long as it isn't getting worse, you should probably be able to wait a day or so before taking her to the vet. It her condition worsens, take her immediately.
I hope lola makes a full recovery!

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Ok thank you well i gave her over the weekend to see how she was and she is walking and running fine. I think lola may when she hit the ground could of knocked herself out. but she seems fine now. another thing i wanted to ask they are all only 3 monthes and 2 of the smaller ones lola and shay hide away where as my bigger 3 month old asher comes out into view and loves the fuss i offer her.

Answer
I'm glad she is doing better. If she doesn't begin acting strangely, there should be no need to take her to the vet.
As far as Asher being more eager to see you than Lola and Shay, there is  no real answer. Some geckos are more outgoing than others. With a little bit of coaxing, Lola and Shay should let you fuss over them too.
