Question
Hi, My BTS has recently had bubs, (3 day's ago) I got her as an adult and I have never had babies before. My question is, I have a dry food mix called "vetfarm""herpavet lizard food" It contains: Fresh grains,Wheat,Soybean,Vitamins,Minerals,Amino Acids,Natural Oils & Dehydrated meat. Max Crude fibre 4%, Max Salt .5%,Min Crude Protein 34%, and Min Crude fat 13%. I use it for my adults as a constant source to eat and once a day I put in some blended veg and Fruit. Is this dry mix ok to have in the babies tank as a constant supply if the want it? (as well as the fresh veg and fruit) or will it be too strong for their little bodies? Thank you for your time. =)

Answer
I'm in the United States, so first, I have to say I am completely unfamiliar with this product.  I'll trust you've looked into it, and found it to be a healthy food.

That having been said, baby reptiles need more nutrition than adults, so the product certainly won't be too strong for them.  I would recommend offering this diet, but supplement it with fresh fruits and vegetables dusted with a bit of calcium/D3 (or just calcium, if you house them under natural sunlight).  Offer some dusted crickets, earthworms or other feeder insects as well.  It's hard to say if the babies will immediately begin eating the commercial diet, so it's best to offer them a healthy diet in addition to it, particularly at first.
