QuestionI am wanting some babies to raise, but I didn't know if I could mate my female beardie with a German giant. Do you know if I can?
Answer Hi Miss J,
A German Giant is a large bearded dragon, usually well over 20" snout to tail. Any female really should be no less than 18" long to be a decent breeder.
If your girl is smaller, then treasure her as the wonderful dragon she is. Females who are not breeders usually live longer.
There is no money in breeding. I do it to produce a larger, hardier dragon. It is very expensive to breed. A season of babies will cost $5,000 in food, lighting and enclosures.
