veiled cham. breeding

Question
Hi. I want to thank you in advance for your help. Just so you know, chameleons are my passion. I have had a male veiled for over a year now. He is approx. 15" head to tail, very healthy. I have purchased a female who is now approx. 4 months old and growing VERY quickly. She is 11".  I have not offically put them together yet, but have gotten them pretty close. The male is so intrigued by her he practically charges at her and turns beautiful colors. She has hissed once or twice, but a few times she has just sat and looked at him without any reaction.  I am afraid to let them completely out of my (and my husbands) hands because the male seems so excited I am afraid might hurt her. I have 2 important questions. 1. Do you know if he will hurt her if she is not receptive? 2.If she is receptive, do you know if she is old enough and big enough to breed?  I am anxious to breed them, but I don't want to jump the gun if it's too soon. The only reason I am questioning this is because yesterday I accidently left part of her cage open and left for the day.(I know...huge mistake.) When I came home, she had found her way up the outside mesh wall of his cage (which is about 3 feet away from hers)climbed to the top where he was and was approximately 12" away from him. They were both just gazing at each other as calm as could be. What do you think?

Answer
Hi Brenda

I am sorry to say that I can not answer your question from experience as I have little experience with keeping Chams
But-I did an extensive search for Breeding Veils and this was the best link that I came up with

The Chameleon Forums looks to be a good source of info

I hope that this helps and I am sorry that I can't be of more help and good luck with your breeding
