Leo still not eating

Question
Hey Tracie, I asked you about my leo gecko not eating a few days ago and
you wanted me to keep you posted.  He does have and undertank heater, a
red basking bulb, and a moist hide.  The hot side of the tank is about 86
degrees and the cold side about 76.  I still havent gotten him to eat yet, and I
try every night by offering him crickets but he will just turn his head away.  I
did however see him try to grab a cricket yesterday, which got me excited but
he missed and doesn't try to get one unless the are right next to his nose.
It's really frustrating.  In the beginning he tried to grab them alot but he
ALWAYS missed.  I think he's mildly retarted when it comes to catching them,
haha!

Answer
Hello Kayleigh,

Ok, the temps are pretty good.  You could safely up them to 90.  Maybe you could try a white light for basking as they put out more heat.
Is he getting any vitamins & calcium?  You may need to start assist feeding him a bit if he doesn't begin to eat on his own.  He could be a little calcium deficient perhaps.
Does he drink any water?
