Question
hey tracie,I think my baby BD is starting to feel more secure. today i got up and turned his basking light around 5:00 am, and about 20 min later he woke up and started roaming around in the tank. I misted the tank walls and I misted him. He seemed very alert and didnt seem to be botherd by my presence, he started lo lick his mouth and licked 3 big drops from the tank wall. Also succes!!!! he actually hunted down and ate a cricket, unfortunately it was the only one he ate during the hole day because in the afternoon he didnt attemp to catch one.Im going to order online about 500 crickets that are 1/4 of an inch, is that ok for him? Also are phoenix worms good for baby BD? Could they make a good stapple diet? Thanks for the help!

Answer
Hello Victor,
GREAT that he is starting to feel better now.
Be careful not to overmist the tank walls so it wont increase humidity too much & cause mold issues in there.  At least he drank some though.
Ah, too bad he did not eat any other crickets except for that one.  I hope his appetite improve soon.
Yes, the 1/4 inch size are fine.  The phoenix worms are great, too.  You can use them in conjunction with the crickets.  As much as he will eat you will go broke using only them.  Right now, I would use both feeders to ensure he gets enough variety.

Thanks for the update.
