Answer
Hi Rachael, What's happening with your bearded is absolutely normal. It is called re-location stress and it happens to many reptiles when they have a complete change of environment. It can take a week or more for him to settle in to his new home and feel comfortable enough to eat well, bask etc. I would reduce the handling sessions to just one short daily one until he has settled in for you and then you can increase it. Make sure he has an adequate basking temperature of 100 - 110 F. Reptiles also do not eat well if they lack sufficient heat to help them digest properly.
If it is autumn where you live then you should be aware that many beardeds will also drastically reduce their appetites and activity level for several weeks starting at this time of year. It is a reptile form of hibernation called brumation. Brumating dragons will sleep alot and often avoid the warm end of the enclosure.
