white spot on back of BD

Question
I just adopted a bearded dragon and he had a white powdery spot on the back of his neck or upper shoulder.  I have only had him for about 5 days and hes been eating and has been active but curious about what this is.

It could be the start of a shedding.  Well cared for baby beardies grow fast and will be constantly shedding old skin as they grow. Did you try washing it off? If it rubs off it may be a bit of urate from messng in his poop.  However, if it does not, and there's no old skin lifting, or it feels gooey or fuzzy have him seen by a good reptile veterinarian for possible fungus infection.
