What type of lizard should I get??

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I was looking in to getting a sort of tropical/rain forest type of lizard. i currently have 2 Leopard Gecko's, but I'd like to try keeping another kind of lizard. I want it to be able to be kept quite comfortable in a 20 Gallon tank. My main focus is on GECKO'S but I would consider another small humidity loving lizard. If you have any suggestions on what I should get I would greatly appreciate it.

ANSWER: Hello Dylan,

The Green or Brown Anole would do well in that environment. However they are small and fast and should not be handled unless its positively neccessary.

Crested Geckos would do well, they are more difficult to care for then the Leopard Gecko but would work well.

Let me know if either of those work for you, and I can get more information on them for you.

Good luck
Heather

QUESTION: Okay, I like the CRESTED Gecko, BUT I think it might a tad too expensive. And I'd really like to be able to handle whatever I get, so that counts out the ANOLES. Any other suggestions for an arboreal/tropical lizard??

Answer
Hi Dylan, it depends on where you are located for the price of the Crested Gecko and more choices would include

House Geckos

Really, no lizard tolerates being handled very well besides Leopard Geckos, Bearded Dragons, Iguanas, and Water Dragons.

So if you are willing to sacrifice the handling aspect we can open up some more choices.
