Egyptian Euromastyx not moving his bowels

Question
Hi Pam,

I am not sure if I should be concerned or not about this so I thought I would write you an email and hopefully you can enlighten me.  I have a young Egyptian Euromastyx that is less than 1 year old.  He seemed to be very active when we first got him back in June, digging all of the time, eating every day, having a bowel movement everyday.  We moved in October, gave him a slightly bigger tank (switched him from a 20gal o a 30 gal tank).....temps in the tank are usually around 90 degrees as it always has been.  Day lamp, heat lamp etc.  Since our move, he has been less active, eating only about every other day and we have seen no stool in the tank.  He still looks healthy, no respiratory distress, his belly is soft and is normal in size, we have changed his greens a few times to see if that would help, but no change.  His color is good, his eyes look healthy, he does not look dehydrated.  I have had many snakes in the past but this is my first try at a Euro and thought that maybe they go through the same "down phase" with hibernation as my Ball Python?  But I am concerned because Digger (my Euro's name) was so much more active before we moved....constantly digging, hence the name lol, and running around.  Do you have any advice?  Thank you for your time

Answer
What is the temperature of his basking spot?  Uros like it hot and 90 F just is not warm enough for proper digestion if you are measuring that at the basking area.  He needs near 120 F at the basking area and cool end about 85 F with a really bright light, and a cave at each end.
