Question

Hi Tracie,
The basking light is by all living things 100w and the red light is 100w by zoo med, also a flourescent tube light that stays on all day. We use a digital temp for the middle of the tank and a stick on for the water and also a
glass thermometer in the basking area, all the temps are fine. There are feeder gold fish in the tank,is that ok or should they be taken out because we are having to change the water alot because of it getting cloudy. Also I have a cat and dog but for the first week and half they ate good. We made them eat yesterday by putting the food in their mouth because now the other one is not eating much either. Mine is still skinny but he ate 3 meal worms and a few bites of strawberries but then got sick a few minutes after, I think he kept some of it down I hope!
Could he be shedding?I ask because hes nose is white. How long would he not eat if he is shedding is he too young?

Answer
Hello Lauren,

The flourescent tube UVB, which brand is it?  How old is it?  How close to your water dragons is it?
I do need to know the brand of the UVB light, please.  Thanks, it should be stamped on the base of the bulb.
You should probably take the gold fish out because that will dirty up the water too much & they need fresh water to drink daily.
What are their stools like?
Shedding does affect their appetite yes so maybe give it awhile longer for his appetite to pick up.
If this continues, I would recommend getting a fecal done on them both to test for parasites.
