baby snake id

Question
We found a baby snake.  It is about 3 or 4 inches lone and kinda reddish orange with a black splotch on its head. What did we find and what does it eat at this tiny age?  How old do you think it is at that size?

I am reasonably sure you found a Crowned snake but I need to see a picture of it and the area where you found it will tell me what sub species it may be.  Send me a picture of it and I will try and narrow it down OK.  They eat small worm and insects if thats what it really is.
