Question
Hi,
I have a leopard gecko and in her mouth there seems to be some moss stuck there is a small buldge on the outside of her mouth under her right eye she is eating fine and is still very active just wondering if i should remove the moss and best way to do so or leave it and see what happens or take her to a vet.

Answer
Hi Steven,
Are you sure its a piece of moss?  If not, then a vet is needed for sure. Their mouths are very delicate and to use more than some gentle spray of water to see if it comes out could cause her to either swallow it or the water in a wrong way and choke. If its been there for a day or more, then for sure a vet is needed to remove it. If your leo opens her mouth willingly and doesn't fight you, you MIGHT be able to remove it with some plastic round tipped tweezers.
If I were you, I would have a vet do it in case there is a sore there(vet may want to give some antibiotics) and also the vet would have the proper equipment to remove it safely. This is one of those better to be safe circumstances.
