Questionmy chameleon isn't even a year old yet. his eyes are always closed and i tried
spraying getting more food, checking if the water is right, keeping his light
on and off when appropriate, and when i tried taking him outside in the sun
he finally opened his eyes and moved around playfully enjoying himself. but
everytime i put him back in his cage he closes his eyes and rarely EVER opens
them. while i was outside with im i also noticed a black liquidy matter inside
his mouth. i researched it and learned that it could be a mouth infection. i
tried removing it myself but couldn't. please help im very worried for my
chameleon!!!!!!
AnswerI will tell you just like I tell everyone. First, I have rules for asking me questions like this. You should follow those instructions when deciding to ask me a question. Maybe you should go back and read them.
Secondly, if you have no idea what this is, then why the hell are you trying to treat it? Take it to a veterinarian or the chances of death are great. Sounds like you are not quite up to the husbandry required for Chameleons and probably didn't do enough research. You don't even have a UVB light do you?
