Question
QUESTION: About a couple weeks ago my 1yr old bearded dragon started to get extremely watery eyes. It doesn't seem to effect her eyesight but it makes a giant bubble of liquid of water over her eye and get dirt stuck to it which dries and becomes difficult to remove. Her gums, I think, are little pale; compared to my other dragons gums. My dragons are also housed separately.

ANSWER: Hello Amanda,

What is your setup like?
She is housed alone, correct?
What type & brand of UVB light are you using, is it a flourescent tube bulb or a compact or coil light?  What type of basking light are you using?
What are the temps in your tank, & what type of thermometer are you using?  A stick on thermomter, a digital probe or a temp gun?
If her gums are pale, that could indicate anemia, caused by parasites or worms stealing he nutrition.
If her temperatures are not optimal, then, she could be suffering from a respiratory infection as well.
What types of foods do you use?

QUESTION: she is in a 40gal. tank, housed alone, reptiglo 10 tube light and a seperate baking light same brand, 90 on the hot side and 75 on the cold, she had a tank heater for at night. I feed her canned crickets, occaisonally baby food (vet recommended), fruits and veggies

Answer
Hello Amanda,

What are you measuring the temps with, a stick on type of thermometer, a digital probe or a temp gun?
Unfortunately, the Reptiglo 10 tube bulb is a cruddy light & is part of the problem.  It emits low wavelength UVB frequency which is harmful to their eyes.  It is not a favorable UVB wavelength for D3 synthesis either.
I recommend changing the light out to a Reptisun 10 flourescent tube bulb.
What type of basking light are you using?  A bright white light or a colored light?
The basking temps are recommended at 95-110 on the hot side & 78-82 on the cooler side.

Canned crickets are not really the best but ok.  She would benefit from live feeders though, as most enjoy them alot more than the canned food.  The babyfood is fine to supplement for her right now since she is not feeling well.

She needs calcium 3 times per week too.

If you are using a stick on thermometer you will need to get a digital probe or a temp gun for better readings.

She most likely has a respiratory infection now that I see the temps in your tank are too cool for her.
