hey waddup ..ok i just got a savanna moniter he is do good seems to like me n his new home very much.. i just want to know wat to do for lighting i have a 100w basking bulb i i just got a 20w uvb bulb is dat wat i should have wat do u think?? should i have 2 lamps goin at da same time is there a bulb dat can do both??..and at night shit i have a night bulb or some lighting or is it ok 2 just have notin at nite?"

 How big is the habitat?  The basking bulb should be fine if he is in a breeder tank, 55gal or better.  As far as the UVB source, brand and type are more important to know.  Either a linear fluorescent, like a Zoo Med Reptisun 10.0 or a Hagen Exoterra Repti-glo 8.0 the length of the tank is good, or a Mega-ray, which you can order online at ReptileUV.com, is acceptable.  No coils, and definitely no compact bulbs, the last will cause serious eye damage to your reptile.
 Always better to allow your monitor complete darkness for sleeping.  If you need additional heat at night, then use a ceramic heat emitter on a rheostat at night.
