How Hot should under the basking light be for a water dragon before its to hot???

Hi Vaughn, The optimal basking temperature for them is usually stated to be in the 85 - 90 F range. A few degrees higher will not cause any harm as long as they can thermo-regulate by moving away from the source easily but I would try to keep it no higher then the low to mid 90'sF if possible. The important thing is not to lose the temperature gradient in the tank.
