Question
Our chameleon recently took a turn for the worse and we have been trying to nurse it back to health we have had to feed it and water it as advised. He rarely moves and has become very tame. Although he still cahanges colour etc when ha senses our prescense. But our biggest problem today has occured with hin having a nasty flesh wound near his ribs we do not know how this occured. Cant go to the vet due to no knowledge. Can anyone help us please

Answer
Hello Cameron,

Can you post a picture of that wound for me?  That would help.
What are you doing to keep it clean?  I would suggest using a diluted betadine, along with an antibiotic ointment such as neosporin or polysporin if you have that type of ointment in Ireland.
What type of enclosure is he in, could he have hurt himself on a sharp edge in the tank perhaps?
Are you using a UVB light for him?  If so, what type, a flourescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?  What brand is it?  What are the temperatures in the tank, & what is the humidity?  What type of thermometer are you using, a stick on type, a digital probe or a temp gun?
What are you feeding him now?
