Question
hi I'm Jacob, i had  question on how much money is a vet check up for a bearded dragon like a feaces test. Also his pooh is kinda grayish and large not runny or hard though is this normal. Next i wanted to ask every time i go and try and hold he runs away and sometimes he just opens his mouth bet don't try to bite me. how can i get him to like me and how can i get him tame. I have had him for about two weeks now and he is eating fine. Also how can i make sure he is getting enough water.

Answer
Jacob, vet prices vary wildly from state to state.  You would have to call an exotics vet to get his rates.  I live in metropolitan New York, and the prices I pay are twice what an exotics vet in Michigan would charge.
Using a mister and misting him a few times a day and misting his salad mush will keep him hydrated.  Also mist the side of the tank.  Misting babies is rather cute, they lap at the drops.  Misting the mush will also get him interested in eating his salad like a good boy.
Never try to pick him up from above, always from below.  He will get used to your hand if you hold it in the tank everyday without trying to "get him".  After a week maybe have a treat in that hand, like a few phoenix worms or small silkworms, then he will look forward to the big hand thing.
