Question
QUESTION: Well his appite is good hes eating circkets and his greens, he has gained some weight and muscle I wanted to no that Multi Vitamen stuff is that nessary at his age ?

ANSWER: Hello Justin,
Great he is eating his crickets & greens & is gaining some weight now.
Well, the multi vitamins are not absolutely necessary as long as he is eating a balanced diet with gutloaded crickets.  It is still a good idea to put them in every now & then just to make sure he is getting all of the needed vitamins even as an adult, yes.

QUESTION: I think im using the wrong UVB please im worried about conor so I need a good UVB bulb that works seems more problems await us, The UVB I use is Repti sun 10.0 coil bilb, 26w, I really need some good brands that work as for this is for my sun whos in Aussie so I want to have this as a gift Thanks

ANSWER: Hello Justin,

Oh yes, I am sorry to say that the Reptisun 10 coil light IS the wrong light.  It is hazardous to the eyes, but, it doesn't put out the proper wavelength of UVB which can hinder his ability to be able to synthesize D3 to help with bone strength & growth.
The Reptisun 10 is good, but you need the tube bulb instead.
Here is a link to get the tube bulb:

Are you using calcium on a regular basis?  If so, what type & brand?  Is it a powdered or liquid supplement?

Is he eating pretty well?  Wow, your son is in Australia, lucky guy!  I wish that my hubby & I could move there.

QUESTION: Well im using the powder one and I went to petsmart to return the other one and some items the Vet/Suporivsor said the Mercury bulb UVB/UVA/Heat is the best one

Answer
Hello Justin,

Well, what is the brand of the Mercury vapor bulb at the pet store?  There are some bad ones out there, & I want to make sure that you don't get hold of one of them.  This year has not been a good year for lights.  There have been some problems with the glass that the companies have used for the MVB which have caused terrible eye problems & other health problems.  I can't at this time, recommend any MVB lights until these issues are resolved.  So for now, I recommend the Reptisun 10 tube bulb for safety.
Ok, the powdered calcium will be fine right now.
How is he doing today?
