Question
when the babies have opened there eyes can you start them on oats or do you wait until they are weened

Dear Lorraine,

Baby rabbits usually start hopping in and out of the nest on their own at, oh, about three weeks old or so. About that time they may start nibbling on their mother's food if it is within reach. You can give them some oats too, though--they make a nice treat!
