failure to kindle

my 6 month old doe was breed over 2 days [her 1st litter] this was to increase litter size and aviod the over sized kits we have had with some does. she was checked and had a good # of kits but did nothing as the day she was due came and went. the doe breed the same day had a litter of 7 and stiil we waited. no drop in feeding on nest building on fur pulling . i got oxcitoson from the vet day 5 and gave her the shot [sub q] she seemed to have contractions for 30 mins but then went back to acting like nothing happened . i tryed to feel the kits [she has a round fat tummy ] so i wasnt sure. ithought she might have just started to reabsorbe the litter so i left her a lone and cheched daily. acted like she wasnt even prenate. then to day 3 weeks after the other does kits where born and she is stiil full of kits! i feel 4 or more. now what? i'm not willing to c section her [we had to do that with another doe for the same problum [250.00] tuff to swallow for a now steral doe.arent there abbortion producing herbs that might be safe for rabbits. her coat was never even lose like all the other does who are expecting. could hormmon shots help? i'm starting to give her evening primrose oil both orally and on her vent. any help would be welcome!

Dear Elizabeth,

The only course of action I can recommend for her is the C-section and spay.  There are no safe abortion-inducing drugs that I would try on a rabbit!
