Question
Is there a particular type  of kitty litter that is best for box trained bunnies?  We use the clay kind, but I read somewhere that its not in the bunnies' best interest.  Is Pine shavings okay?  newspaper?  just hay like alfalfa to sleep in amd timothy and oat hay for munching? is celery harmful>? green beans ( fresh) squash ( summer) potatos? corn cobs? watermelon?  roses and other flowers? ( poison free of course) and  last, what kind of brush/slicker is best for the shorter type bun furs.. like hotot rex and the like?  ( is hotot a color or a breed?  Thanks for your input aand time.

Answer
hi tina -you treat your rabbit like its one of the family, all mine live in a big shed at the bottom of the garden, bt I will tell you my thoughts.
I use sawdust for them to run on , but shavings is ok,hay is lovely for eating and sleepin on.
rabbits dont need all the extra titbits you relate to , a good rabbit food mix is all they want,in fact greens can give them the runs.mine eat rabbit pellets and drink water and only about once a month do I feed a little green.
to groom I use a comb and a nice stiff hand brush this helps keep the coat soft.
I breed rex and have never heard of hotot .
