Question
Last year I was given a girl rabbit, that was found outside. We have a very strong bond, and I can pretty much determine how she feels. I brought her to the vets, and got her checked out, she is in perfect health, and I all so got her fixed. They beleive that she is between the age of 1-3 and 9 pounds. She is kind of a nervouse rabbit around new people and experiences. Last week, I abopted a male rabbit 12 pounds, perfect health and also fixed, age 1-3. They have their own room. I leave him in the cage and her outside, in the room when I am gone for the day. This is so they can sniff eachother, to get used to the sents, with out hurting each other. When he is in the cage, she does not care, or is not aware he is there. I have introduced them a few times and it was not good. She freakes out and runs, which makes him nervouse and chases. When it gets to bad, they will latch on and kick and bite, which looks scary. I break it up before it becomes seriose and either one gets hurt, buy getting in between them,or a water bottle, but I am scared. How can I make it so they can get along better? So they do not end up hating each other forever

Answer
Hi
It sounds like your rabbits need to be togther alot more. When you let 1 out in the run. You should let the other one in a different run. Like for example. I have 3 rabbits. I can let 2 rabbits out at the same time. There runs are next to each other and then they smell each other and everything. Maybe that is what your should do. Try and get another run and put it beside the other rabbit. Then they can both be togther but cant fight. You may need to stay with them for a while. But they should get use to it.

So i would advise to get another run and then they can both get use to each other more. BUT do make sure they cannot get into each others runs.

I do hope i have helped. Let me know if you need anymore help.
