Question
my question is what age can rabbits start breeding? i have a female she is sapost to be 6 weeks and my male is 3 months can they breed yet my female is starting to bleed? please help

Answer
Dear Jessica,

Generally rabbits do not breed until they are six months old, when they are full grown, though the bigger breeds (about 7 or 8 pounds or more) are often not full grown until they are about 9 months old. Sometimes rabbits can get pregnant before they are full grown, but I would wait until the rabbit is at least 6 months old, or if it is bigger--9 months old.
How is your rabbit bleeding? You should probably check into why she is bleeding, and try to do something about this as soon as possible. Before breeding, check out both male and female, and look for signs of illness or unusual conditions. They should be as healthy as possible before trying to breed.

I hope this helps.
God Bless!
