Cold Weather Exercize

Question
Ok, I take my rabbits outside for a 15 minute supervised run on the
grass of my lawn... but is it safe for cold weather?  I mean, in AZ, at this
time of year im talking 50 - 60 degrees in the sunshine with little to no
breeze, and maybe even to the high 40s later in the year... and of course
i only take them out in the afternoons when its warmest.  The grass can
be a little damp, but i always cuddle and brush them after their run, so
they are warm and dry, and they live inside where its always warm cuz
us desert ppl cant take the winter!!  So could their excercize make them
sick?  They love it, because their cage is pretty small (cross your fingers-
its holiday season and ive been hinting about how small my cage is! ;))
and they really need to get out and run and get their brains excited! So
do the runs need to stop in winter?

Answer
They should be perfectly fine, My rabbits live out side in the ohio winter- temps get below zero sometimes. So temperature wise they will tolerate it well. I am not sure how warm you keep your house, but if it is reallly really warm, then you may not want to let them run out side in 40 degree weather.
Hopefully you do get them a bigger pen, Bunnies like lots of stretchy room.
