QuestionHello, I am seeking a small pet that doesnt mind being picked up and petted, something that wont bite unexpectdly and wont mind being spoiled rotten. Will a bunny work for me? I can not afford to have it neutered it is rediculasely expensive here will that be ok? Are there any breeds that ae calmer and are better lap bunnies then others? Would A new zealand white live longer then a holland lop?
AnswerIf you want a cuddly pet, then I would suggest something more like a guinea pig. Rabbits absolutely do not like to be picked up and will let you know by kicking or biting.
Guinea pigs don't mind being picked up, are similar to rabbits, and if you have just one, or two of the same sex, you don't have to have them neutered.
If you really want a rabbit, the bigger breeds tend to be more mellow, but they all live about the same length of time, 7-10 years.
