Question
Hello there, I am hoping you will be able to help me in some way.
I have a male Rabbit who i have had for 2 years now, and have just recently rescued 2 more rabbits, 1 male and 1 female who were both apparently kept in seperate hutches. However on transport home with the new additions my partner recieved a phone call of the previous owners explaining they had forgotten to tell us the female may be pregnant. She is a large girl, she hasn't realy eaten since being with us ( only 2 days ) and has been spending alot of time in the seperate area of the hutch where her straw etc hasn't been touched, she also seems lacking in energy, are these signs of pregnancy? If you think its a possibility that there are babies on the way what do i do to ensure they are ok? I have never cared for baby rabbits before and realy dont want to have dead babies :(

Answer
hi a good sign of prgnancy is the doe may try to bite you and get aggressive.-just feed and water as nrmal give her plenty of hay to make a nest andshe will dothe rest -she may pluck hair from her chest 24 hrs prior to giving birth.
dont be in a hurry to see babys or she may get upset and kill them
