rabbit urinating

Question
My daughter has a very affectionate male rabbit which was spraying everywhere so we had him neutered at 4 months old.. he is now 6 months old and has taken to urinating on her and me every time we pick him up. We love having him inside running around but he won't toilet train so he is outside more often and has a smaller area 3ftx3ft inside. What can we do as he likes affection but the urinating is stopping us.

Answer
Dear Deb,

This is very unusual for a neutered rabbit.  Please ask the vet if two testicles were actually removed, or if there might have been a cryptorchid (undescended testicle) that remains.  If so, this could be a reason for the problem.

Bunny might also have a urinary tract problem such as infection or a bladder stone, so please see:

and get him to the vet to rule out medical reasons for this problem.

I hope this helps for starters.
