I have just bought a 8 week old Netherland Dwarf rabbit. He seems in good condition and is settling in just fine but i am noticing that when he is out of his hutch he gets involuntary twitches which he doesnt seem to have control over which make him jump all over the place very quickly and shake his head. I have been told that this is normal and means he is frisky but it doesnt look like he is just jumping around and i find it upsetting. is it fleas? I would be gratefull for any advise.

No, it doesn't sound as if this is anything abnormal.  Rather, it sounds as if you are witnessing the Silly Dance we call the "binky."  It's normal high spirits, and bunny's way of saying he's very happy and full of life!  It doesn't look anything like the playing of a dog or cat, which may be why it doesn't look "normal" to you.
